Pinched Nerve Treatment
Helping patients live their best lives by getting to the underlying cause of their symptoms and correcting them at the source is our passion at Midtown Clinic of Chiropractic. Rather than the common medical approach of anti-inflammatory medications that don’t do anything to address the underlying cause of pinched nerves, we locate the problem and correct it naturally—without the use of drugs.
What Is a Pinched Nerve?
A nerve can be compressed or “pinched” when the spine has a vertebral subluxation. A subluxation is a bone that is out of position, causing the joint’s disc and mechanical aspect to work improperly. This leads to inflammation, which in turn pinches the nerves.
A subluxation can exist for some time before the nerve is pinched, and many patients don’t experience pain or other symptoms until the nerve is involved. When a nerve is compressed, you may experience symptoms like pain or other types of dysfunction anywhere in the body that the nerve travels to.
Our Approach
We begin with a thorough examination, including digital X-rays or even motion X-rays, to identify the specific area of the spine that isn’t moving as it should. Then we tailor care specifically to your situation.
